AIDWA Demands Rollback of LPG Price Hike, Slams Central Government's Anti-People Policies

New Delhi, April 10: The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) has strongly condemned the recent Rs 50 hike in LPG cylinder prices announced by the BJP-led central government. The increase applies to both subsidized and non-subsidized cylinders, further straining household budgets already under pressure from inflation and unemployment.

In an official statement, AIDWA criticized the government’s imposition of special excise duties on petrol and diesel, calling it an "anti-people" move. The organization highlighted the adverse effects these measures have on women and families struggling to manage rising food prices and shrinking incomes.

“This latest rise shows the deeply condemnable insensitivity and callousness of the Modi-led BJP-RSS regime,” said the statement jointly issued by AIDWA President P. K. Sreemathi and General Secretary Mariam Dhawale. “Women are finding it increasingly difficult to keep the home fires burning.”

Calling for an immediate rollback of the price hike, AIDWA announced nationwide protests to demand a reversal of the decision
