Ahmedabad – An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner (VT-ANB), flying from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff this afternoon. The aircraft had a total of 242 passengers on board, including two pilots and 10 cabin crew members.
An Air India spokesperson stated, “We are currently gathering more details and will share further information soon.”
The crash occurred approximately nine minutes after receiving clearance for takeoff. Thick smoke is hampering rescue operations, which are still ongoing.
