Digha, Navi Mumbai – A historic three-year wage settlement agreement was successfully signed on Monday, 4th August 2025, between the management of the multinational company Sulzer Pumps India Pvt. Ltd. and its internal employee union Sulzer Pumps India Employees Union.
The union, led by President Mr. Rupesh Pawar since 2020, had previously signed a three-year wage agreement in 2022 for ₹28,000. Under Mr. Pawar’s leadership, along with General Secretary Mr. Pramod Lotankar and the union committee, a new agreement has now been finalized for the period from 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2027.
Key Highlights of the Agreement:
Duration: 3 years (2025 to 2027)
Average Wage Increase: ₹29,500 (CTC) over 3 years
₹11,000 in 2025
₹9,500 in 2026
₹9,000 in 2027
The increment will be distributed with 50% in Basic + FDA and 50% in other allowances.
Health Insurance (Group Mediclaim Policy):
For the first time, a group mediclaim policy of ₹7 lakh per employee is introduced.
Additional coverage of ₹3 lakh for parents is made available, with employees bearing the premium cost. The greater the number of participants, the lower the premium cost.
The policy is effective from day one and will continue post-retirement, with retirees paying their own premium.
Diwali Gift:
A total of ₹26,000 worth of Diwali gifts over three years.
This amount may be increased for 2026 and 2027 based on company production performance.
Tour Subsidy:
Apart from the wage hike, the company will contribute ₹6,400 annually per union member to the union fund.
Bonus cum Ex-Gratia:
A fixed annual bonus increase of ₹3,600.
A variable bonus cum ex-gratia (linked to EBIT) will be distributed annually at 12% of EBIT, based on the company's financial performance.
Travel Allowance (LTA):
An annual increase of ₹3,000 in travel allowance.
