Mumbai, 14 August, 2025 : BJP media head Navnath Ban has demanded an unconditional apology from UBT MP Sanjay Raut for making a statement like ‘You are making Maharashtra impotent by imposing a meat ban’ and thereby insulting Warkaris, Dharkaris, Talkaris and followers of Bhagvat and Nath Sampradaya. He was speaking at the press conference held at the BJP state office on Thursday. Party Spokesperson Avadhut Wagh was present on this occasion. Mr Ban launched a scathing attack by questioning whether all communities like Warkaris, Dharkaris, Talkaris, Malkaris and Nath Sampradayis who have been vegetarians for hundreds of years in Maharashtra are impotent.
“You can definitely keep on playing politics but you have no right to insult Warkari traditions, Mahanubhav Panth and Bhagvat Dharma”, said Mr. Ban. The Bharatiya Janta Party will never tolerate this. Nath Sampradaya was brave. This Samapradaya has won many wars. If you start talking in an offensive manner like this, then Maharashtra will show you what real manliness is, warned Mr Ban. He also directly challenged him by demanding an apology in the next few hours, coming days.
Mr Ban also criticized Mr Raut regarding his editorial in Saamana. In that editorial Raut had referred to Marathi Barakhadi and criticized Mahayuti as inefficient, ungrateful, ill-mannered, infamous, etc. Mr Ban called this statement an irresponsible one and taunted that this Barakhadi is perfectly applicable to UBT and Mr Raut only. Today the Mahayuti government is carrying out development works everywhere and the Barakhadi of development is underway. Mr Ban presented the Barakhadi of development i.e development roadmap of the Mahayuti government to the journalists. With projects like A for Atal Setu, B for BDD chawl redevelopment, C for coastal Road, D for Dharavi redevelopment, E for Electrification policy, E Expressway, K for Kalanagar flyover, M for Metro works, S for Slum redevelopment, V for Vadhvan port, Mahayuti government is moving fast on the development path under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The government led by Mr. Fadnavis is doing many developmental works for Maharashtra and the Marathi People of Maharashtra. BDD, Metro Training Institute, Santacruz-Chembur Link Road, Malvani Government Employees' Residence, Kalanagar Flyover is being inaugurated. He also stated that the Mahayuti Government is taking big strides in the right direction towards development. The people of Maharashtra are wise. This politics of yours will destroy you. He also mentioned that the people will definitely show you your place.
Raut, who himself is involved in the Patra Chawl scam, should not cry in the name of Marathi people.
People who are involved in Patra Chawl scam have no right to talk about Marathi people by writing editorials on them. BJP is doing development politics. BDD Chawl has been redeveloped. The decision to redevelop BDD Chawls was taken under the leadership of Mr. Fadnavis. Mr Raut has ruined Marathi Manus by committing a Patra Chawl scam. However, Mr. Fadnavis was striving to ensure that the Marathi people of Mumbai should get affordable houses in Mumbai itself. Those living in 120 sq. ft. houses got 500 sq. ft. houses at a reasonable price due to the efforts of Mr Fadnavis. The price of these houses in BDD Chawl was 50 lakhs during the UBT’s tenure as the Chief Minister, which was reduced by the Fadnavis government. “Mr Raut if you cannot see this development then change your spectacles,” taunted Ban.
