Mumbai, 14 October 2025 : "Due to heavy rains, many farmers have lost their crops, homes, cattle, and means of livelihood. At such a time, it is the duty of every section of society to come forward and extend a helping hand. The Pune District Central Co-operative Bank (PDCC Bank) has set an inspiring example of social responsibility, truly upholding the principle of 'collective welfare' that defines the co-operative movement. The officers and employees of PDCC Bank have set a new benchmark in the co-operative sector," said Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane.
This year's heavy rains and floods have caused extensive damage to farmers across the state. In response, help is pouring in from all corners. Today, under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister (Finance and Planning) Ajit Pawar, a cheque worth ₹1 crore 26 lakh 51 thousand was handed over to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Mantralaya on behalf of the PDCC Bank. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and Agriculture Minister Dattatray Mama Bharane were present on this occasion.
According to Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane, “PDCC Bank’s officers and employees have set a new example in the co-operative sector by upholding their social responsibility.” Out of the total contribution, ₹1 crore was given by the PDCC Bank, ₹25 lakh 51 thousand came from one day’s salary of the employees, and ₹1 lakh was contributed from the board of directors’ sitting fees—making a total of ₹1 crore 26 lakh 51 thousand donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The Pune District Central Co-operative Bank has always shown social commitment during times of crisis. This year’s heavy rains have badly affected farmers in 34 districts, and the state government has begun large-scale rehabilitation measures.
Among those present were Bank President Dr. Digambar Durgade, Vice-President Sunil Chandere, Directors Bhalchandra Jagtap, Vikasnana Dangat, Suresh Ghule, Pravin Shinde, Sambhaji Holkar, Director Nirmalata Jagade, Pooja Butte-Patil, Chief Executive Officer Aniruddha Desai, Deputy General Manager Sameer Rajput, Staff Union representative Ajitrao Jadhavrao, Union representatives Sanjay Paigude and Ravindra Joshi, former MLA and Director Dilip Mohite, Atul Salunkhe (Private Assistant), and Staff Director Rajendra Shete, among others.
