Mumbai BJP President Ameet Satam lashes out at MVA
Mumbai: Coming down heavily on the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for their protest against vote chori, Mumbai BJP President MLA Ameet Satam said No matter how loud the cry of ‘falsehood’ may be, ‘truth’ will prevail and termed MVA's rally as sheer double standards.
"In a desperate attempt to cover up corruption during the COVID period and to conceal their falsehoods, the Maha Vikas Aghadi is currently trying to play the pitiful game of crying ‘vote chori’. With the BMC elections around the corner and defeat clearly visible to them, this so-called ‘March for Truth’ is nothing but an attempt to distract the people’s attention. No matter how loud the cry of ‘falsehood’ may be, ‘truth’ will prevail,” said Mumbai BJP President and MLA Ameet Satam, slamming the MVA.
Today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a silent protest at Lokmanya Tilak Garden, Girgaum Chowpatty, to oppose the MVA’s so-called “March for Truth.” Through this protest, the BJP took a “silent but firm” stand against injustice, corruption, and hypocritical politics of MVA.
MLA Ameet Satam said that this march was an insult to the people of Maharashtra, as it undermined the public mandate. "This clearly shows their double standards because when they win, it’s democracy, but when they lose, it’s vote chori,” added MLA Ameet Satam.
MLA Ameet Satam further said that the opposition’s aim was to create false narratives to mislead the people. “Today, at Fashion Street, the MVA organized a kind of ‘fashion show of lies’ as if they had hired mimicry artists to stage the event. The upcoming local body elections have made their defeat evident, and through this march, the ‘Maha Bigadi’ alliance has merely prepared a new platform to justify that defeat," remarked MLA Ameet Satam.
The event was attended by BJP Maharashtra State President Ravindra Chavan, BJP Mahila Morcha President MLA Chitra Wagh, Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, MLA Yogesh Sagar, MLA Sanjay Upadhyay, BJP Maharashtra Spokesperson Navnath Ban, Mumbai BJP Yuva Morcha President Tajinder Singh Tiwana, South Mumbai District President Shalaka Salvi, and a large number of party office-bearers and workers.
