New Delhi, May 8: The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has extended its support to Operation Sindoor, conducted by the Indian armed forces to dismantle terrorist camps and infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan. In a press note issued on May 7, the Polit Bureau stated that the strikes were “focused, measured and non-escalatory,” and were successfully executed at nine locations.
The statement highlighted that during an All Party Meeting convened by the Union Government, all political parties, including the CPI(M), expressed their support for the government’s actions targeting terrorists and their handlers.
Emphasizing the need for continued diplomatic and strategic pressure, the CPI(M) urged the government to hold Pakistan accountable for the massacre of innocent civilians in Pahalgam and to ensure that no terrorist infrastructure remains active on its soil.
The party also called upon the Indian government to safeguard the unity of the people and the integrity of the nation amidst ongoing tensions.
