Mumbai, May 8 – The food we eat daily is our true diet, and hence, it is extremely important to ensure it has the right nutritional balance. Traditional homemade meals are the best for our body as they are natural, easy to digest, and balanced. The key to good health lies in such a balanced diet, said renowned nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar.
She was speaking at the Tech Wari event held at Mantralaya on 7th May on the topic of 'Healthy Lifestyle.
According to Diwekar, the hectic pace of today’s lifestyle often leads to neglect of one’s own health, resulting in various physical and mental problems. However, maintaining good health is possible through a balanced and natural diet. For a nutritious meal, one must include fruits, vegetables, home-cooked food, appropriate amounts of carbohydrates and proteins. Eating on time and in the right quantity is essential for long-term good health.
She advised that people should exercise at least three times a week, develop a habit of walking, and choose stairs over lifts whenever possible. These practices help keep the body active and improve overall health.
To stay fit, it is also essential to reduce screen time on mobile phones and television. One should prioritize consuming local, seasonal, and traditional foods. Avoiding packaged and processed foods as much as possible is beneficial for health, Diwekar said, while offering detailed guidance on the dietary and health needs of individuals across all age groups.
