12,000 New Entrepreneurs to Rise: Amrit’s Mission for Economic Empowerment

Ratnagiri: The economically weaker sections from the open category should stand on their own feet, entrepreneurs should emerge from among them, and this long-neglected social group should achieve overall progress. To support this, the organization Amrit is providing all possible assistance. Through the e-commerce portal Amritpeth, even the smallest entrepreneur from this group will be able to sell their quality products and services everywhere, without any commission. By creating more than 12,000 small entrepreneurs, we will contribute to the government’s ambitious Chief Minister Employment Generation Program, said Amrit’s Managing Director Vijay Joshi.

Maharashtra Research, Development and Training Academy (Amrit) is an autonomous institution of the Government of Maharashtra. The first Amrit convention in the Konkan region was held at Amber Hall, TRP. Mr. Joshi was speaking at the event.

Citizens who do not benefit from any other government schemes can avail these benefits. With just a few documents—proof of annual family income less than ₹8 lakh, domicile certificate, Aadhaar, PAN, and school leaving certificate—one can access the schemes. There is also a scheme that provides interest subsidies to those setting up new enterprises (startups) or to existing entrepreneurs who take loans from banks.

Training programs will also be available in fields such as self-employment, education-related courses, bakery, solar, and import-export, along with technical and technology-based training offered by institutions such as IGTR, CIPET, NIELIT, C-DAC, and MKCL. On this occasion, Vijay Joshi also gave detailed information about the establishment, objectives, and work of the organization, as well as about its future plans.

The convention was attended by representatives from organizations across the district, including Chitpavan Brahmin Mandal, Karhade Brahmin Sangh, Kunwarbav Panchkroshi Brahmin Sangh, Devrukhe Brahmin Sangh, Patidar community, Marudhar community, and others. Amit Samant, Deputy Regional Manager of Amrit, introduced the schemes in his opening remarks. District Manager Mahesh Garde conducted the program, while District Coordinator Avdhut Mulye proposed a vote of thanks.
