Campaigns like cataract surgery, blood donation camps will be organized

Mumbai, 16 September 2025 : On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has organized a 'Seva Pandharwada' (Service Fortnight) from September 17 to October 2. During this service fortnight various programs like 1 lakh free cataract surgeries, blood donation camps, health camps, eye check-ups, distribution of spectacles to people, Modi Vikas Marathon and sports competitions will be held. BJP State President Ravindra Chavan shared all the details regarding this program at a press conference held at Mumbai BJP office on Tuesday. The coordinator of the 'Seva Pandharwada' campaign Praveen Ghuge, the state president of Yuva Morcha Anup More, media head Navnath Ban, State Spokesperson Omprakash Chauhan. were present at the occasion. 'Seva Pandharwada’ is a socially-driven initiative implemented with public participation, through this the awareness will be spread about the central government's welfare schemes and towards cleanliness, environmental conservation and self-reliance. Mr. Chavan appealed to all the party's MPs, MLAs, ministers, leaders, office bearers and party workers to actively participate in this service fortnight at the booth and mandal levels and resolve to make this movement of social service more widespread.
Mr. Chavan said that during this fortnight several people oriented programs like blood donation camps, health camps, cleanliness drives, etc. will be organized in all the mandals under the party's internal structure across the state. On September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a 'Mahsool Pandharwada' (Revenue Fortnight) has been organized in Pune at 3 PM under the leadership of Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. During this fortnight, programme to provide benefits of various public welfare schemes of the Modi government will be held. Mr. Chavan stated that a resolution has been made to extend the benefits of various schemes to more than 50 lakh people. The Yuva Morcha has organized a ‘Modi Vikas Marathon’ in all the major districts on 21st September. He further said that special efforts have been made to ensure that maximum people participate in the marathon to involve many more people in the development of the country and the state and to give momentum to the concept of Viksit Bharat 2047. More than 1 lakh free cataract surgeries will be performed under the 'Namo Netra Sanjeevani' campaign. Along with that spectacles will be distributed to more than 10 lakh people after a complete eye check-up. He also mentioned that the MP cup competitions have been organized in 48 Lok Sabha Constituencies in the state. Registration for this competition will be open till September 20th. He also stated that on September 25, on the occasion of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay's birth anniversary, Pratima Poojan will be conducted at all booths and planning will be done to convey the report of the nation's progress to as many people as possible through Prabuddha Sammelan.
Many programmes like honouring the disabled, tree plantation, promotion of 'Vocal for Local', ‘Viksit Bharat’ drawing competition and purchase of Khadi items are organized under 'Seva Pandharwada 2025'. The State BJP has made this resolution of Service and Dedication based on the party’s policy of 'Organization is strength and service is the goal'.
