Need for professionalism while knowing the reality, changing times
While explaining the
things to be noted while working in the social sector, Mr. Lath said, “It’s
important to teach fishing to a hungry person rather than providing fish. It is
necessary to understand the exact concerns of people while working in
semi-urban and rural areas. The situation today is such that one who wishes to
work can find occupation. But, addiction among youngsters, rural youth unable
to get married and impact on our family values are the problems. We too need to
adapt to changing times. There is need for professionalism and coordination.”
Mr. Prasanna Patil,
Secretary, Phule Mahila Ekatma Samaj Mandal, said, “We wished to provide
guidance from experts to our office bearers and volunteers on various aspects
of leadership. This was achieved very well for two days in the serene
surroundings of RMP and everybody felt inspired.” A project coordinator from
the organization while describing the workshop, said, “It taught us to use
resources optimally, while looking at routine things with open eyes. Kindling
leadership this way will surely increase the strength of the nation.” Mr.
Avinash Kambekar working in Phule Mahila Ekatma Samaj Mandal for the past 9
years, expressed his opinion, saying, “I joined the social sector from a
different educational background. I realized that help is required after
traveling through regions like drought hit areas of Marathwada and tribal areas
of Khandesh. The worldclass training obtained in this workshop will surely help
in achieving the objective.”
