Aditya's “Fight for Our Mumbai”! Enthusiastic Response in Mulund

Young leader Aditya Thackeray appeared combative and well-prepared during a recent gathering at Kalidas Natyamandir in Mulund, where he passionately spoke out to save Mumbai. He articulated his points with conviction and clarity, earning spontaneous applause from Shiv Sainiks and local citizens alike. After all, Aditya represents the Thackeray brand, and no matter how much criticism he faces from the opposition, he continues to give strong and assertive responses.

At the event, Aditya posed a direct question: “Are you ready to join the fight to save Mumbai?” To which the crowd responded enthusiastically, “Sahib, just give us the order.” Aditya replied, “I stand with you, like a shield,” and the hall resounded with loud applause. He assured the audience that a true leader stands with his people—this message resonated strongly with those present.

He effectively conveyed that the state government is aligned with the Adani Group and is preparing to hand over Mumbai to corporate control. Even though the percentage of Marathi-speaking people in Mumbai is declining, Marathi votes still lean toward Shiv Sena, a reality that can't be ignored. Despite the split in the party and many leaders and corporators leaving with Eknath Shinde, the grassroots Shiv Sainiks in Mumbai remain loyal to Uddhav Thackeray. Aditya has built a distinct identity as a true Mumbaikar.

The event was held under the theme “Fight for Our Mumbai!” and Aditya’s points struck a chord with the audience. He outlined the reasons for the fight:

-To rehabilitate Dharavi residents within Dharavi itself

-To preserve the small businesses of Dharavi

-To prevent hundreds of acres of Mumbai land from being handed over to Adani

-To protect the mangroves and resist forced rehabilitation on sensitive land

-To oppose relocating Dharavi residents to dumping ground areas

-To safeguard the future of Mumbai and Mumbaikars

One by one, he laid out these issues with compelling presentations, successfully convincing the audience why saving Mumbai is crucial.

He also addressed the recent fare hike in BEST bus services, highlighting it as a burden placed on the common Mumbaikar. The fare was doubled without public input, and citizens are silently enduring it. If public concerns were taken seriously, some changes would have been made. In the current scenario, everything is being imposed on the people, making Aditya’s vocal opposition all the more important. He also raised concerns about the land of Kurla Dairy.

Mumbai has changed drastically in recent years: high-rise buildings, corporate offices, metro lines, underground trains, sea bridges—and in all this, the Marathi population has been pushed to the margins. The face of old Mumbai has been completely transformed. While the city is developing, the benefits of that development are not reaching the common Mumbaikar.

Aditya said something striking in this context:“No one should become rich by looting my Mumbai! If you want to live in Mumbai, live like a Mumbaikar. Respect Mumbai.”This powerful statement could only come from someone who truly loves the city.

Respect for Mumbai is something only a true Mumbaikar can demand. If every inch of land in Mumbai is being taken over in the name of development, then that poses a serious threat to the city’s future. Aditya’s fight ahead is far from easy. He must ensure that the remaining Marathi population is not displaced. He will need to create a new developmental plan specifically for Marathi people.

There’s no doubt about Aditya’s leadership, fighting spirit, or love for Mumbai. But moving forward, he must keep in mind that Shiv Sena exists because the Marathi people exist. That awareness will be key in guiding his next steps.
