Mumbai, August 19 : AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence is now becoming influential in all walks of life. At a time when quantum computing is now becoming very effective, while all industries and lifestyles are changing and environmental changes are happening at a very fast pace, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed the hope that the children, who are the future of India, should now prepare for a new world. The winners of the robotics competition organized by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis through the joint efforts of STEM and Brilio were felicitated by the Chief Minister with prizes. The event, held at the Pul Deshpande Academy in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, was attended by STEM CEO and Founder Ashutosh Pandit, Brilio Global Head and Senior Director Abhishek Ranjan, as well as students and teachers from various schools across the country.
Earlier, Chief Minister Fadnavis inaugurated the country's first environment and sustainability Lab, speaking in this regard, the Chief Minister said that this lab is very important for the future and with this, we will definitely be one step ahead in science and technology. He said that the laboratory is very important for students from all over the country and arouses more curiosity in their curiosity and the models presented by the students are very promising. On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave the first prize and a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh to the students of S. D. Ganage School, Pune, who won the tinkering competition. The students of Jadavpur University were given the second prize and the students of Rani Saraladevi High School, Bangalore were given the third prize. Both the schools were given a prize of Rs. 50,000 each. The Chief Minister also felicitated the winners of the model making and STEM car race competitions from government schools in Meghalaya, Aadugodi, Sarai Khwaja and Haryana with prizes.
STEM works towards the advancement of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education in government and government-aided schools. Reaching out to remote corners of India, from rural villages to tribal and border areas, STEM learning has empowered over 20 lakh students and trained over 30,000 teachers through practical models, mini science centres and innovative education programmes, the Chief Minister said.
The institute has been recognised by UNESCO for its contribution to enhancing quality education and scientific approach and promoting environmental and sustainable education, and we have succeeded in launching India's first ESG lab, said Ashutosh Pandit, CEO of STEM.
Speaking on the occasion, Abhishek Ranjan, Senior Director, Brilio, said that Brilio STEM programs are pioneering science and technology for students in over 20 states. We bring mini science centers, astronomy labs and science labs to remote schools in India. We aim to reach one million children by 2030, he said.
